Everyone usually craves or wants a good and fast charger. But with the rollout of so many generic chargers. Getting a perfect and reliable charger has seemed to be a pain in the back recently. You get more duped Apple and Samsung-branded chargers, which usually cause damage to an individual’s phone battery and can even lead to permanent damage to the phone’s hardware components. This is where the basues PD 20w fast charger comes in.
What’s in the box?
At first glance, Baseus did a great job with this charger’s packaging. I mean, for a basic charger, or is Baseus trying to tell us that it’s not joking with its products? Absolutely
The packaging comes with the user’s manual, a baseus animation sticker, a warranty card, and the actual baseus charger.
Design
The charger’s design is very nice and gives off premium quality, although this comes with two plugs, which is quite inconvenient as many wall sockets and extensions come with a three-plug design. Equipped with a USB type C port and an actual USB charging port, this charger is the Anker competitor. If you ask me, as regards design, the design of the charger is very nice, and the space between the two ports is good enough.
Which brings us to the question
Is the Baseus PD20W fast charging?
Many users are looking for the fastest chargers they can get their hands on, which is quite understandable, but there is a catch to it. Will my battery last after charging? This is the question most people ask but we will get back to that much later Having a bad charger can be the worst nightmare of an individual; it can cause significant damage to your mobile device, and that’s not what any individual would like to experience.
Let’s look at the charging specs.
- When charging at idle, this charger was able to charge an iPhone 16 Pro from 20% to 90% in about 45 minutes, which is average if you ask me. and considering the fact that Baseus is selling this as a flag-off fast charger.
- When charging with the phone in use, this charger was able to charge from 20 to 90% in about 1 hour and 10 minutes, which is not impressive.
But this is a 20W charger, so yes, even if Baseus advertises this as a fast charger, it shouldn’t be that fast if you ask me.
Does this charger get hot when charging?
yes. But certainly, all chargers tend to get hot during usage; even my actual Apple charger tends to get hot after a while of charging. But the basues PD 20w fast charging does not overheat nor has that burning smell you get from cheap roadside chargers.
Although many individuals don’t look into this, I tend to pay attention to how long my battery drains after a full charge. I have used a lot of chargers in the past and come across a few bad eggs where I charge to 100% and experience a significant or much faster battery drain, but the Baseus PD20W with fast charging doesn’t seem to have this problem, which brings us to an important question.
Will my iPhone battery health reduce when using the Basues PD 20w fast charging?
No, but when it comes to your battery health deteriorating, this can be a result of several phone bad habits, let’s say, for example.
- Using your mobile device while charging
- Using a bad charger and cable
- Overcharging
- Overall battery age
But using the Baseus PD 20w fast charging won’t affect your overall battery health.
Does the baseus pd30 fast charging come with Samsung fast charging?
Yes, absolutely. I had the opportunity to test this charger on both my iPhone and my Samsung, and yes, it did a great job.
